Horizon Scanning Dashboard for Sustainability and Hazard Assessment

The Government is looking for an integrated approach to assessing and addressing issues associated with management of emerging contaminants. The Government also looks to understanding PFAS content in the supply chain. Additionally, sustainability assessments are done manually with outreach across DoD and the defense industrial base. The Government will also look to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics which advance Department-wide sustainability initiatives; integrate sustainability data into Department-wide data management; and create new environmentally extended input/output modeling capabilities that advance defense supply chain sustainability analysis. The desired capability from this SON is the development of a prototype dashboard including data gathering and analytics that supports an updated and more automatized process to identify chemical risk and support supply chain risk evaluation. The dashboard should be able to rapidly and visually identify the different phases of the risk identification process as well as the chemicals under consideration and other assessments tailored to the Departments requirements.
